Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Entlegnant LLC, doing business as Entlegnant ("Entlegnant," "we," "us," or "our"), collects when you use the Leiolai apps, websites, and services, how we use it, and the choices you have. Leiolai is a product of Entlegnant LLC.
The short version
- You can use Leiolai without creating an account.
- We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not track you across other companies' apps and sites for advertising.
- We collect as little as we can to run the service, and you can delete your data.
Information you give us
- Your questions and content. The questions and other content you submit to get answers.
- Account information. If you sign in, the identifiers you provide, such as a display name, an email address or the sign-in details from Apple or another provider, confirmation that you are at least 18, and settings tied to your account.
- Purchase information. If you buy a subscription or top up your balance, the purchase is processed by the app store you bought from or by our payment processor. We receive confirmation and limited billing details, but we do not receive or store your full card number.
- Payout identity and tax information. If you earn rewards and request a payout, identity and tax verification is handled by our payment partners, and we receive what we need to meet legal and tax requirements, such as verification status and tax-form information. This applies only when a payout makes it necessary.
- Endpoint details. If you connect your own AI endpoint, we store what we need to send requests to it and to credit your account for the work it does.
- Messages to us. If you contact support or apply for a role, the information you include.
Information we collect automatically
- Device and app data. Basic device and app information, such as device type, operating system, app version, language, and settings.
- Diagnostics. Device-readiness and performance data, such as battery and thermal status, that help us operate and improve the app.
- Network data. Your IP address and general, city-level location derived from it, used for security, fraud prevention, and to run the service.
- An on-device identifier. A random identifier so the app works before you sign in.
How we use information
- To provide the service and generate answers to your questions.
- To process purchases, and to calculate and pay rewards.
- To keep the service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our terms.
- To fix problems and improve reliability and answer quality.
- To communicate with you about your account, purchases, and support requests.
- To meet legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.
Your questions and AI
When you ask Leiolai something, we process your question to produce an answer. Your question may be processed by AI models to do that. Where your device is capable, Leiolai runs on your device. We do not use your questions to build an advertising profile of you.
Research and Private conversations are saved with your account and sync across your signed-in devices. Incognito chats are automatically deleted after 72 hours. You can delete conversations sooner, and you can delete your account and its associated data.
Research mode is not for personal data. Do not submit sensitive personal information or other people's private data in Research mode, or anywhere the app shows a notice like that, as described in our Terms of Service.
Private and Incognito chats
- Private chats are saved with your account and sync across your signed-in devices. We do not publish their content. You can delete them at any time.
- Incognito chats are automatically deleted after 72 hours.
Contributing compute and connecting an endpoint
When your device does computing work, the app reports only the operational information needed to coordinate that work and to credit your account, such as availability and performance. If you connect your own endpoint, we may send it requests and record the work it completes.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only in these limited ways:
- Service providers. Companies that help us run the service under contract, such as payment processing, cloud infrastructure, and diagnostics. They may only use the information to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety. When we reasonably believe it is required by law, or necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users, the public, or us.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that deal, subject to this policy.
How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Research and Private chats are kept with your account until you delete them or delete your account, except where we must retain information for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons. Incognito chats are automatically deleted after 72 hours. Diagnostic and operational records are kept in limited, largely de-identified form to run the service. Account, purchase, reward, and tax records are kept as long as the law requires. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information, except where we must keep certain records to meet legal, tax, or fraud-prevention obligations.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account in the app: open Account and choose Delete account. You can also email us and we will do it for you. Deletion removes your personal details from your account. We keep only what the law requires us to keep, such as tax and fraud records, with as little identifying information as possible. Any remaining reward balance and pending payouts end when the account is deleted.
You can also download a copy of your data in the app: open Account and choose Export my data.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain uses. You can delete your account and its data in the app, and you can email us to make a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. AI answers
Leiolai is AI and can make mistakes. Answers can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Do not rely on Leiolai for medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Check anything important with a qualified professional.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.
Children
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have received such information, email contact@leiolai.com so we can delete it.
International users
We operate in the United States, and if you use Leiolai from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States and other countries, which may have different data-protection laws than yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
US state privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you rights to know the categories and specifics of personal information we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share your personal information as California law defines those terms, and we do not use sensitive personal information for anything beyond providing the service. Residents of other US states with privacy laws have similar rights. To exercise them, email contact@leiolai.com.
Europe and the UK
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Entlegnant LLC is the controller of your personal information. We process it on these legal bases: to perform our contract with you, to meet legal obligations, for our legitimate interests in running and securing the service, and with your consent where required. You have the rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, and port your data, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here, update the date at the top, and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
